Feathered Fun Basic Training
WORKSHOP SYLLABUS
Class time: 12 to 4 p.m.

THE BASIC TRAINING WORKSHOP:

LECTURE - Cover the environment – cage, toys, play areas, perches, the importance of exercise and how to potty train your bird.
TRAINING – Work on proper handling techniques, step up, step down, & laddering.

LECTURE - Nutrition, grooming, vet care & emergencies, & transporting your bird.
TRAINING - Touching your bird all over, & work on getting your bird easily in a carrier.

15 minute break

LECTURE – Behavior – understanding your bird, & how to have the best relationship possible with your bird. Touching on behavioral problems biting, screaming & plucking
TRAINING - Teach you bird to lay on back & teach wave bye-bye

PLAY AND SOCIALIZATION TIME: 45 MINUTES

This is free-time in Parrot Playland to socialize and exercise your bird on the provided equipment and have a fun & bonding time with your bird. I am available to help you individually and answer any questions.

THE ADVANCED TRAINING WORKSHOP:

Focus primarily on understanding behavior, behavior modification and trick training.

Some tricks are:

• Fetch
• Spin around


• Simple card trick
