Baby Birds at The Parrot's Perch
My hand-fed, home raised baby African Greys are well-adjusted, gentle and loving. When
it comes to looking for the right baby from the right
breeder, it helps to remember the old saying, "the
apple doesn't fall far from the tree". While
babies are the products of their parents, they're also
the result of all the time, energy and devotion that
the breeder has put into them. Buying a baby parrot
means you are buying the breeder as well. Choosing a
reputable breeder with whom you trust and feel comfortable
with is as important as finding the perfect baby parrot.

COCKATOO AND MACAW AVAILABILITY
*
After
extensive soul searching, The Parrot's Perch has decided
to no longer breed the Cockatoos and Macaws due to the large
number of adoptable birds that are in need of good
homes. Over the last few years I have gradually come
to the conclusion that Cockatoos especially do not do well in
captivity. From my 25 years of experience,
I've noticed that if there is a behavioral problem,
it is mostly found in Cockatoos. They are very intelligent
and high energy birds. If not continually mentally
challenged and not allowed to burn off this energy,
they can become neurotic and psychotic.
I
have retired my Cockatoo and Macaw pairs. If you still thinking about
