Meet Rudy, a 15 year-old Congo African Grey
Rudy is 15 years old and is a very laid back fellow who likes music (and sometimes dances!), to be outside in his cage, canteloupes, grapes and persimmons and drinking water from the kitchen sink faucet. He doesn't talk much but can whistle Jingle Bells (and makes up his own songs), mimics the microwave and telephone and a really cool "spaceship" noise. He needs to get to know you and when he feels comfortable, he'll sit on your knee for a head scratch. He keeps himself busy with his toys and loves to be out on his playgym. He steps up for some people, and is stick trained. He is a bit feathered picked on his chest, but the damage is not permanent. Rudy was well loved and he comes with a large palytop cage that is in very good condition, tons of toys and a bottlebrush playstand. He has been microchipped and vetted regularly, his last visit being last summer. Check out his video on You-Tube - search "Rudy eating cheese".
The adoption fee includes all listed and is a bargain at $1,000.

Meet Frank, a 7 year-old Congo African Grey
Picture coming soon
Frank is 7 years old and is a very nervous little guy. He is afraid of new things in his cage, shadows, quick movements and new environments. He is a bit plucked on his chest, but the damage is not permanent. He readily steps up and likes to ride on your shoulder. He is not a biter, except if he gets tired, when he gets an attitude and tries to bite. He was well loved and had a lot of interaction with his owner which accounts for Frank's huge vocabulary. He likes riding in the car and sitting in the yard in his cage in the summer. He whistles and some of the things he says are: Are you ok? I love you so much. You hear the dog? It's so cold outside. We're gonna make some popcorn and LOTS more. There is a list of his vocabulary as well as his likes and dislikes. Frank also comes with a large playtop cage that is very good condition, tons of toys and a bottlebrush playstand.
His adoption fee includes all listed and is also $1,000.

Meet Alex, a Goffin Cockatoo
Alex, male Goffin's cockatoo. Alex is spending time with Sandi, who is working with him. What a great little bird!!! He has some issues with his feet and doesn't perch or step up very well, but he is not aggressive and LOVES to cuddle! He is a bit afraid of new surroundings and tends to fly to the ground and try to hide behind or under things. You can literally pick him up by grabbing him and carrying him to his cage (or the couch for cuddle time). He is afraid of dogs and can be "beak-y" when scared, but doesn't bite very hard. With lots of love and attention, he will make a great companion bird. He is moderately loud, but only at certain times, otherwise he is pretty quiet for a 'too.

Meet TC, a 14 year old, hybrid macaw.
TC is also a "special needs" parrot. His right leg is slightly shorter than the left. The cause is unknown, it could've been a dislocation, an old healed break or even a malformity from birth, only x-rays would tell. As a result of this impediment, the foot does not work quite like it should either.
TC sometimes has trouble gripping and even, at times, seems to be unable to control it. This causes him problems with perching, stepping up and even eating since he cannot use either foot to grasp his food. He is very nervous about strangers and whether they can afford him the security he needs, so he often appears to be aggressive.
Once he knows you and feels he can trust you, he can be a wonderful bird. He needs a family or friend that understands large birds and is willing to work with him to establish a relationship. He wants the attention and is very loving with our founder, Sandi. You can also be a sponsor for TC for just $50.00 a month. This helps provide him with food, toys and special perches/platforms for him.

Meet Gus, a 12 year old, red-lored amazon.
Gus must have been traumatized, because although he yearns for attention, he is easily frightened and has a big amazon bite! He will lower his head for scratches and seeks out interaction.
He really needs a home where there are no pets or kids and someone who is knowledgable about amazons!
